Put on your thinking caps Sunday at EUUF

Good afternoon, Everyone,
We're hoping to tap our collective brainpower on Sunday in a robust discussion of plans for the new year, moderated by Bryan Manire.
As we prepare, Bryan asks that we think of the following:
Our national UUA President, Rev. Dr. Sofia Bentancourt says "Unitarian Universalists as a progressive religious community hold a humbling expectation to periodically re-evaluate the freely chosen covenant that holds us together. This work gives life to the values we express in common cause. We do this work to live into the Unitarian Universalism of the future.”
SO, Sunday, together we’ll think big and bold about our EUUF goals, hopes and dreams. How are we doing? Where do we want to go?
We will also brainstorm on some of our more mundane, practical issues to help us move forward - some examples follow. EUUF President Lynn Larson also listed these in the newsletter.
1. Clarifying our U2U Hospitality program, determining a fair distribution of labor. As it stands now it involves taking turns attending to the kitchen before services which includes putting out refreshments, perhaps bringing some if needed, and cleaning up after, as well as providing the meditation during our service.
2. Learning how to check out materials from our small library located on the tall shelves on our meeting room.
3. Identifying a liaison with our child care person to establish a religious, education program. We have some materials, UUA curriculums, that are excellent.
4. Choir practice - we can dream!
5. Any other ideas - please bring them Sunday. Remember, there are no "dumb" ideas, only those not offered!
Lynn also will be able to offer an update about where our new website construction stands, and ideas for this are welcome.
Michelle McDonald is greeter, while Rebecca Hazlett is in charge of U2U Hospitality and meditation and Gem Frederick is in charge of audio-visual.
I hope you can come early and stay after for our lovely coffee, tea and snacks.
